PIE ME
Okay so it's that time again. PIE TIME. Our own Kat made a pumpkin pie last night, (pictured) in honor of OBAMA, (whoo!). It was delish! It looks normal enough right, wrong! She used maple in it. Maybe she will post the recipe...(Ahem...cough) If you have a twist on a pumpkin pie, share it with us! What are your favorite ways to trick out pumpkin pie? Last thanksgiving, I made one that featured cayenne and sugared pepitas. Let's reinvent the wheel on this shall we?

I used less brown sugar and more maple syrup. I also just used fresh grated nutmeg and cinnamon, instead of using one of those "pumpkin pie spice" mixtures. Served it all with fresh, unsweetened whipped cream.
It's a great recipe!
